Considering the recent situation in Bali, the Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCT) raised the Travel Alert to the Indonesian destination to Level 2. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also issued a security alert.

“At the moment the level of alert for the Agung volcano has reached the maximum level of 4. All activities in the area within a radius of 8 km around the crater and within a radius of 10 km North-Northeast, Southwest-South-Southeast of the crater are prohibited,” the travel alert reads

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate-General of China in Denpasar alerted Chinese citizens not to travel to Bali during this period. Chinese citizens already in Bali should maintain maximum alert, strengthen security precautions to ensure their personal safety and avoid traveling to areas close to the volcano.

From information gathered through the Macau travel industry, currently there are no tour groups organized by Macau travel agencies in Bali. Until the present moment GGCT has received 1 request for information and no requests for assistance.
