As the 22nd edition of the Macau City Fringe Festival will take place in January 2024, the Cultural Affairs Bureau, which organizes the event, has called for proposals of programs and performance venues, effective now until June 23. For the 2024 edition, the organizer encourages all applicants to “show an innovative spirit and risk-taking attitude,” to “break the barriers of traditional venues” and to “create works that highlight the characteristics and the cultural connotations of Macau.” This open call aims to involve all local arts and cultural associations in Macau, as well as curators, producers, and independent artists.
