Lively Summer

Long afternoons, golden evenings, and the vibrant energy of summer set the stage for anew season of flavor at JW Marriott Hotel Macau. From the bold regional feasts of Xi’an cuisine to lively Southeast Asian BBQs and refreshing garden-inspired treats, the hotel invites guests to indulge in culinary moments crafted for warm-weather gatherings, family occasions, and leisurely escapes.

Urban Kitchen, renowned for its live cooking stations and global culinary delights, presents a journey to northwest China with its Taste of Xi’an Dinner Buffet. This summer experience is further elevated by guest chefs collaboration featuring Chef Marlon Sun from The Ritz-Carlton, Xi’an and Chef Qi Fu from The Westin Xi’an, who will join the culinary team to showcase authentic techniques and regional specialties.

At the heart of the spread are signature dishes such as Chef Sun’s Hand-Pulled Noodles with Beef Shank, and the aromatic, chili-laced Xi’an “Biangbiang” Noodles, a bold favorite for spice lovers. Guests can also savor the soul-warming Weinan-style Lamb Brisket Soup with Vermicelli, or the golden crunch of Chang’an-style Crispy Chicken, a beloved northern Chinese classic. Rounding out the feast is the “Guanzhong-style” Grilled Lamb Chops with Cumin, perfectly charred deeply aromatic that embodies the bold, rustic spirit of northwestern Chinese cuisine.

The Lounge, a cozy yet elegant space with a warm, relaxed atmosphere, elevate its daytime offerings with new Laksa variations, available in both soup and dry styles. Guests can explore dishes like the indulgent Laksa King, topped with Boston lobster, and the hearty “The Oxen” Laksa, featuring Wagyu beef cheek and ox tongue. Others include Braised Pork Belly, Iberico Pork Ribs, and Malaysian-style Yong Tau Foo—each bursting with flavor and perfect for a midday escape.

In the afternoon, the Cha Gardo Traditional Macanese Afternoon Tea offers a tranquil summer retreat. Refreshed with seasonal items, many made using herbs and botanicals from JWGarden, the tea set is a delightful expression of local tradition and garden-to-table freshness.

As the sun dips low, casting golden hues over the water, JWPool Bar unveils its new Southeast Asian BBQ Sets, offering families a perfect blend of vibrant flavors and shared moments. Guests can choose from three flavor-packed sets. The Malaysian Set showcases sambal grilled stingray wrapped in banana leaf and turmeric rice. The Indonesian Set features grilled squid in sweet soy and honey-spiced prawns, while the Thai Set offers grilled pork neck, lemongrass chicken, and crisp green papaya salad. Each set also includes four chicken and beef satay skewers, plus four bottles of Heineken, ideal for families to unwind and celebrate the season.
