The retail trade continued to see an upturn in the fourth quarter of 2020, with the value of retail sales surging by 102.5% quarter-to-quarter to MOP18.16 billion, according to data from the Statistics and Census Service. After removing the effect of price changes, the sales volume index leapt by 109.8% quarter-to-quarter. For the whole year of 2020, total value of retail sales decreased by 41.5% year-on-year to MOP45.19 billion.
IAM to improve children’s facilities at Guia, Reservatório Park
The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAE) is set to improve the children’s playground facilities at Guia Municipal Park and Reservatório Park. The IAE will also look into the actual demand for the facility in the community to decide whether to create adventure facilities for children aged over 13 years old, said the president of the IAM Administration Council, José Maria da Fonseca Tavares.
