In 2025, Sands China has hired over 2,000 local team members.

Sands China organised a range of national education activities this year, including a visit to the Exhibition commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the War of Resistance.
Since the establishment of the Sands China Academy in 2015, the company has continued to invest in professional development across multiple disciplines. The academy comprises eight sub-academies — spanning areas of MICE, hospitality, integrated resort management, entertainment, facilities, responsible gaming, procurement, and retail. It has offered an array of training programmes to its team members, enhancing their professional capabilities and extending the pathways for their upward mobility. In response to industry transformation such as AI, the company has significantly increased its investment in boosting employee’s competitiveness. By closely monitoring international trends, prioritising skills enhancement and promoting lifelong learning habits among its workforce, the company has demonstrated full commitment to employee growth.

Since its founding in 2004, the number of Macao residents promoted to management within Sands China has risen steadily, with the ratio of management roles held by local team members significantly increasing from 20% in 2004 to 90% today.

In addition, the company recognised 500 outstanding individuals whose dedication and service embody the company’s spirit and values at this year’s ‘Because We Care’ Annual Awards, encouraging all team members to carry this spirit forward.
