Sea passengers recover to 60% of 2019 volume

The Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) has said passenger volumes for sea passenger routes have returned to 60% of 2019 levels. The sailing frequency will be increased to 80 per day starting this month. Tong Iok Peng, deputy director of DSAMA, said shipping service companies will adjust the waypoint and frequency depending on needs and manpower. According to Tong, there will be more than 10 closures of navigation in the coming six months. Also, The shipping company will arrange additional sailings at the Taipa Ferry Terminal to handle the flow of people.
