As Typhoon Rammasun approaches, the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) yesterday anticipated that they will need to hoist signal number three tomorrow. According to Radio Macau, the standby signal number one might be hoisted today. The SMG has said that, in the coming days, rain and winds are to be expected, as the typhoon gets closer. The storm’s center is currently within 800km (approximately) of Macau and Hong Kong. However, it is expected to close to within 400km of Macau by tomorrow. Rammasun has killed at least ten people in the Philippines. Thousands of villagers from areas where flooding and landslides are frequent have been evacuated.
