Macau’s local team, CF Racing Team 32, is using the days before the on-track action starts to engage in a number of activities with fans.

On Sunday, the team held a prize-giving ceremony at the Tissot shop at Macau Square, which was the result of a Facebook campaign that awarded a wristwatch from the Swiss brand to one lucky fan.

The fan in question was Jeaselle Bilag, who took home the Tissot MotoGP 2016 Limited Edition.

Also present were representatives of the brand in Macau and all team members, including rider Allann-Jon Venter, who presented the fans with autographs.

The tour continued with a “meet the fans” dinner at The Roadhouse Macau at Broadway, where a group of local fans and owners of the premium motorcycle Yamaha R1M had the chance to “rub shoulders” with the riders and team members in a relaxed environment.

Representatives from the motorcycle brand’s official local importer also attended the dinner to show their support for the team.

“We are very happy and glad to be supporting the CF Racing Team 32 and its rider Allan-Jon Venter,” said Riders Square representative Marjorie Lau, adding that “the event [dinner] was a very meaningful opportunity for our customers to meet the team and riders, and also to get together to watch the MotoGP race that ended up with Yamaha’s Lorenzo win, so it was all perfect.”

Team owner João Fernandes also told the Times that the events will continue in the days leading up to the Grand Prix, with visits to Yamaha Macau facilities and Flora Luso-Chinese Primary School on the cards.

CF Racing Team 32 is the only local team listed for the 50th Anniversary of the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix.

Established in 2014 by former local racer João Contente Fernandes, the team has since listed multiple participations in the GP in efforts to promote the sport locally.

Macau Daily Times is a media partner of CF Racing Team 32.
