MSAR, Republic of Belarus sign visa-free deal

Authorized by the central government, the Macau SAR government signed a mutually visa-free agreement with the government of the Republic of Belarus last week. The deal was inked by Sonia Chan, secretary for Administration and Justice, and Burya Viktor, the ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Beijing.
The agreement assures that Macau residents holding valid passports or valid travel permits issued by the MSAR government will be exempted from visa requirements when entering the Republic of Belarus for a maximum stay of 30 days. The effective date will be announced later.
A total of 122 countries or regions have agreed to grant visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to the passport holders issued by the MSAR, while 13 countries have agreed to grant Macau Travel Permit holders visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to their regions.
