MGM will present hip-hop dance crew Jabbawockeez’s first-ever Macau residency show from March 2 to 31, the gaming operator announced in a statement.
Billed as one of the world’s most influential dance crews, the Jabbawockeez will entertain audiences with their energetic mix of various contemporary choreographies to deliver a show tailored for the MGM Theater in Cotai.
With their core belief in dance being a universal language, the crew aims to showcase their talent and skills strictly through dance, hiding their faces behind masks to break through the barriers of race, gender and age.
Bringing dance to the forefront of entertainment, “Jabbawockeez – true to yourself” will give the audience an up-close-and- personal performance with MGM Theater’s state-of-the-
art audio, visual and lighting technology.
Kicking off MGM’s new lineup of innovative and unparalleled entertainment experiences in 2019, MGM is bringing the Jabbawockeez from their current residency performing at MGM Grand Las Vegas. The group is best known for their signature plain white masks and synchronized dancing, and for being the winners of the first season of America’s Best Dance Crew in 2008.
They were initially formed by members Kevin “KB” Brewer, Phil “Swagger Boy” Tayag, & Joe “Punkee” Larot under the name “3 Muskee”.
According to the statement, local residents may enjoy 25 percent off the standard ticket price to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the SAR.
Tickets will be available for purchase from Feb. 1 at the concierge counter at Grande Praça, MGM Macau, and the box office at MGM Theater, MGM Cotai.
