Contemporary Chinese restaurant Yí at Morpheus, City of Dreams, will host renowned Hong Kong pop singer Pakho Chau, who will showcase his culinary talent at the ‘Star Chef Gourmet Extravaganza’ on Dec. 14.
Executive chef Angelo Wong of Yí will work with Chau to present an exquisite six-course menu for the floral-themed banquet, with dishes featuring ingredients such as Chinese yellow wine, peppercorns, sakura shrimps, and lavender — all of which contain the word “flower” in Chinese.
As an ode to his role in ‘The Spectator,’ where Chau played a coffee shop owner and made ice cream on screen, the iconic scene will be recreated at Yí. Chau will surprise guests with his lavender ice cream prepared using liquid nitrogen, paired with imperial bird’s nest and grape panna cotta.
Another highlight of the menu is the fried mixed grains with sea urchin, a twist on Chau’s specialty: sea urchin fried rice.
