Sands China Ltd. sponsored and hosted this year’s Mastering Cotai academic seminar yesterday at The Londoner Macao, drawing close to 150 online and offline attendees.
Now in its fourth year, Mastering Cotai has a mission of bridging the research work of academia with the tourism, hospitality and gaming industry in the city.
The annual seminar is organised by the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau, whose master’s degree students present discoveries and insights from their postgraduate research theses and receive immediate feedback from experts in the industry.
Seven postgraduate students made presentations yesterday on their various research topics, which included consumer adoption of mobile payment systems in Macau, guests’ hotel reviews in Macau during the pandemic, the effectiveness of integrated resorts’ social media communication strategies, and the importance of the back-of-house environments of Macau’s integrated resorts.
