Over 40 team members of Sands China recently completed the annual advanced responsible gaming training program from October 21 to October 22 at The Londoner Macao. This initiative supports the Macau government’s “Seeking Help for Winning the Future” responsible gaming efforts.
Participants were trained to become Responsible Gaming Ambassadors, enhancing their understanding of problem gambling and responsible gaming practices. Since 2013, Sands China has offered this specialized training in addition to its comprehensive responsible gaming program for its 26,000 team members.
Led by expert Professor Bo J. Bernhard from UNLV, the training covered the history of problem gambling, recognition of gambling disorders, and intervention techniques. Professor Davis Fong from the University of Macau provided insights into local policies, while senior counselors from Sheng Kung Hui shared practical support strategies.
The 46 participants received certificates and Responsible Gaming Ambassador pins, equipping them to promote responsible gaming across their departments.
