The International School of Macao (TIS) has received full authorization to implement the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) following a thorough evaluation by the IB Organization.
Effective last week, TIS will operate as an authorized IB PYP institution, marking a significant milestone in its mission to provide high-quality international education.
As a PYP candidate school, TIS has worked diligently to incorporate the PYP framework into its teaching practices. This effort included extensive teacher training, curriculum refinement, and addressing feedback from IB officials.
The authorization process, conducted by the IB Organization, assessed various aspects of the school, including its educational philosophy, leadership and management practices, teaching methodologies, and the resources allocated to support the program.
TIS met all required criteria and received commendations in 12 specific areas, leading to its official authorization. Staff Reporter
