Factory explosion in Shanghai kills four, injures two

Chinese state media say four workers were killed in an explosion at a machinery factory in an industrial park on the outskirts of Shanghai.
Xinmin Evening News says two other people were injured in the blast that hit Shanghai Zhizhuo Machinery Equipment System Co. Ltd. around noon yesterday.
It’s unclear what caused the explosion, although China has a poor record of workplace safety with a lack of government oversight. Cost-conscious management also is reluctant to invest in safety precautions.
