The Macau Horse Racing Company has announced that its losses in 2015 have increased 72.7 percent compared to 2014. According to a notice published in the Official Gazette, the company, which runs the Macau Jockey Club, lost more than MOP88m last year. The accumulated losses of the horse racing company (that has not seen a profit since 2005) are inching closer to MOP4b. The company’s management has provided no comment on the reasons behind the negative results. Last month, SJM executive director Angela Leong informed that they were investigating new strategies in order to improve business for the next horse racing season.
