MGM Macau has garnered the “Outstanding Social Caring Organization Award” at the 5th Social Caring Pledge Scheme organized by the Social Enterprise Research Institute (SERI) of Hong Kong.
Apart from being the only integrated resort in Macau to have received this award, it also marks the second time that the integrated resort has been awarded the accolade.
Grant Bowie, CEO and executive director of MGM China Holdings Ltd, remarked that with the expansion of MGM’s footprint in Macau, the company sees this as an opportunity to lead the way in promoting stronger corporate social responsibility locally, as cited in a statement issued by the gaming operator.
The Outstanding Social Caring Organization Award uses numerous criteria to select outstanding corporations across various industries in Asia, taking into consideration candidates’ social responsibility in the categories of environmental protection, labor standards, human rights, and anti-corruption practices.
