An exchange session has taken place, organized by MGM, between the Task Group for the Promotion of Gastronomy and Cultural Industries of The Committee of Cultural Industries and MGM Cotai’s celebrity chef, Graham Elliot.
This special session aimed to exchange ideas about how to enhance the city’s gastronomic development with art and cultural elements so as to reinforce its designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
Members of the Task Group visited the restaurant kitchen of Coast and were introduced to the restaurant’s philosophy and inspirations from local flavors, according to a statement released by the gaming operator.
The whole group was then joined by Grant Bowie, CEO and executive director of MGM China Holdings Limited, to further discuss the next step in promoting a more creative and vibrant gastronomic scene in Macau.
Chef Graham Elliot said at the discussion, “Macau is a place with rich cultural heritage and unique flavors and, so far, it is the only place out[side] of America [in which] I am interested in running a restaurant.”
Wynn introduces zero-emission buses
Wynn yesterday announced the introduction of clean energy buses to optimize its existing shuttle fleet.
As part of the initial inception period for the project, Wynn has purchased eight clean energy buses to offer hotel guests transportation services to and from its hotels, the gaming operator announced in a statement.
The zero-emission fleet includes six tour coaches and two “public bus” style vehicles, which are expected to enter service in May 2018.
Wynn stated that it will gradually implement the use of clean energy buses in the future.
The clean energy buses are aimed at achieving zero-emissions.
This follows Wynn’s initiative in 2016, in response to the government’s transport integration arrangements involving cooperation with another gaming operator to enhance its hotel shuttle bus service. The initiative involves the launch of a joint shuttle bus route to connect passengers between the respective properties and the Gongbei Border Gate.
