Angola and China assess cooperation

The Foreign Minister of Angola, Georges Chikoti and the Special Representative of the Government of China for African Affairs, Zhong Jianhua met in Luanda to analyse bilateral relations.
Ambassador Zhong Jianhua said after the meeting that relations between the two countries had seen positive results in terms of economic and trade cooperation.
According to Angolan news agency Angop the Chinese diplomat also said the two governments were confident about the future development of bilateral relations.
China is one of Angola’s largest trading partners and the largest importer of Angolan oil.
Over the years China has provided loans for the reconstruction of Angola, which was devastated by colonial and civil wars. MDT/Macauhub
