Angola joins the Lisbon Tourism Fair

Angola is taking part in the 27th edition of the Lisbon Tourism Fair (BTL), which opened Wednesday and runs until 1 March at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa venue, in order to promote the country’s potential as a tourist destination, said the director of the Angola Tourism Development Institute (Infotur).
Laureth da Silva Bravo also told Angolan news agency Angop that Angola’s attendance at the fair was also intended to attract potential investors, as well as for exchanges with exhibitors from various countries.
At this year’s BTL, besides the seven natural wonders of Angola, including the Calandula Falls (Malanje), the Maiombe Forest (Cabinda), Carumbo Lagoon (Lunda Norte), Nzenzo Caves (Uíge), Morro do Moco (Huambo) Chiumbe River Falls (Lunda Sul) and the Tundavala Rift (Huila), Infotur also has other tourism potential on display.
Laureth Bravo pointed out other Angolan “visiting cards,” such the Mupa Falls (Huambo) and the Binga Falls (Kwanza Sul), Serra da Leba (Namibe) and the Pungo Andongo Stones and the Cangandala National Park (both in Malanje) along with the Angola’s “history, culture, traditions and nature.”
This year for the first time Benguela province is represented at the Lisbon Tourism Fair through the Hospitality and Tourism Association of Benguela, in particular the concept of “making Benguela part of the great world cruises.”
As well as the members of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), BTL this year has exhibitors from 27 countries, including Germany, Canada, USA, Italy, Poland and the UK. MDT/Macauhub
