Another local athlete wins medal at Youth Games

Athlete Wong Weng Ian has won a silver medal in the University Category Women’s Self-chosen Sword at the Student (Youth) Games. She lost to an athlete from Gansu Province with a minute score difference of 0.01. The sword event is part of the Wushu or Martial Arts event in the Games. Wong, 19, has already scored a gold and a silver in these Games. She said she was satisfied with her performance and hopes to continue to improve, according to public broadcaster TDM-Radio Macau (Chinese). Having finished her participation in the Games, she will soon depart for the US for the World Championship.
