The Judiciary Police launched an investigation following a prank video circulating online in which two “foreign teenagers” staged a deadly gun killing to gauge unexpected responses from passersby. According to the relevant authorities, the pair could have breached the criminal code’s article 294, which prohibits activities that simulate scenes which might trigger public panic. Set in multiple locales in Taipa, the video featured the pair bickering over debts before one of them suddenly collapsed with a “bang” sound. The other teen then emerged from the corner with a pistol, then jumping into a car. Their prank successfully scared all their targets into evacuating, as shown in the video.
