The fourth annual Video Art For All International Festival (VAFA), is now open. According to the organizers, Art For All Society (AFA) and the Orient Foundation, the exhibition at Casa Garden “brings for the first time to Macau video works by Zhang Huan, Xing Danwen and Cui Xiuwen, three of the most celebrated contemporary Chinese artists. It is then completed with a selection of solid video artists from Brazil, Portugal, USA, Italy, Hong Kong and Macau.” The exhibition period runs until 11 January.
Sketches by Yu Chang at Albergue SCM
An exhibition titled “Celebration of the 15th Anniversary of Macau’s Handover to China – Sketches by Yu Chang” kicks off with an opening ceremony on the patio of the Albergue SCM on Wednesday at 6:30pm. Yu Chang was born in Nanjing in 1957. He was president of the Guangzhou Sculpture Academy from 2002 to 2012, and is currently a guest professor at the Department of Sculpture of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, as well as the Huali College Guangdong University of Technology.
