The Buzz | Local woman contracts dengue fever in Guangzhou

A 47-year-old local woman has contracted dengue fever while visiting her relatives in Guangzhou city. According to the Health Bureau, this is another case of imported dengue fever. The woman developed symptoms of fever, skin rash, muscle and joint pain and was taken to the central hospital once she had cleared local customs. According to TDM, the woman’s health remains stable. The total number of dengue cases in Macau now stands at 12. This is the tenth imported case.
