The Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Raimundo Arrais do Rosário, has been authorized by the Chief Executive to sign a supplementary notarization contract for the renewal of the Macau Cable TV Limited concession, according to a dispatch published in the Official Gazette. The concession contract is related to the renewal of the terrestrial subscription TV service. In 2014, the SAR government signed a five-year renewal of contract for Macau Cable TV.
Hainan plans yacht scheme for SARs
Mainland Chinese province Hainan is expecting to launch a yacht scheme between Macau and Hong Kong. According to Chinese reports, the governor of Hainan Province, Shen Xiaoming, said that in 2019, Hainan would try to build the province as a center of international tourism and consumption. Regarding the yacht scheme, Hainan hopes to explore overseas yacht routes as well. In addition, Hainan hopes to make more breakthroughs with the SARs in the service industry. In 2018, Hainan welcomed approximately 7 million visitors.
