Central Library construction underway

The first phase of construction of the new Central Library is underway and expected to be completed in December next year (2025). According to the website of the Public Works Bureau, the project has been listed as an ongoing project. The first phase of the project includes the demolition of the old Estoril Hotel and the construction of the foundation and basement of the new library. The project cost is MOP 69.78 million and the construction period is 450 working days. The new library covers an area of ​​approximately 2,960 square meters.
