Cinematheque holds talk on film festivals on the 27th

2-Cinematheque-Passion-I0A3267The Cinematheque Passion is hosting its second talk this year, titled “How film festivals are organized,” on February 27 from 3 to 5 p.m., with the event to be conducted by Hong Kong filmmaker Jonathan Hung. According to a press release issued by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Hong Kong critic, filmmaker and current director of InD Blue (Hong Kong) and InDPanda International Film Festival has years of experience in film festival organization and will discuss how to design, plan and organize film festivals with their own distinctive character. The topics to be raised during the talk include criteria for film selection, program planning, film renting, screening venues, ticketing, promotion and education. Hung began his career writing film and theatre critiques in several newspapers, magazines and columns in 1997, and has also worked as a development manager at the Film and Video Department of the Hong Kong Arts Centre.
