MGM announced yesterday that it has extended its annual event “Oktoberfest Macau at MGM 2017” until Monday, October 23.

This year’s event also includes the Family-Friendly DayTime Oktoberfest, which will run on October 21 from 11am to 3pm. Guests can enjoy a Bavarian entertainment brunch with children and family. Non-alcoholic beers and a range of beverages will also be available.

At the event, locals and tourists can experience Löwenbräu beer, authentic German delicacies and live music by Munich’s Högl Fun Band.

Last year, the band composed a theme song for the event titled “Nei Hou, Macau,” which included a few Cantonese catchphrases – an example of cultural exchange, MGM stated in a press release.

CESL Asia holds seventh ‘kids movie day’

CESL Asia held its “Kids Movie Day” for the seventh consecutive year with an aim to spread the love and care to kids from local child institutions.

The CESL Asia Social Investment (CSI) Team gathered some 100 children and 30 volunteers to enjoy an animation movie and disseminate the idea of building a harmonious society, the company said in a statement.

Held on Saturday, children from Macau Special Olympics, Cradle of Hope, Fountain of Hope, and the Fountain of Love and Joy Integrated Family Services Centre participated in the event.

As has been the case in past years, the party at the McDonald’s restaurant at Macao Science Center was a highlight in the program to further delight the kids with brunch and entertainment.

The children also participated in an educational visit at the Macao Science Centre.

CTM to offer iPhone 8 on Friday

The iPhone 8 Plus features dual 12-megapixel cameras and introduces Portrait mode with Portrait Lighting, bringing studio lighting effects to the iPhone that will allow customers to capture portraits with a shallow depth of field effect in five different lighting styles.
