DSAL launches plan to hire 30 tour guides for activities with SJM

The Labor Affairs Bureau (DSAL) has announced a new plan with SJM Resorts, S.A. (SJM) to employ 30 people as tour guides for the cultural and creative activities promoted by the gaming operator.

According to the information provided by DSAL, the plan aims to offer the selected candidates a specific “Employment + Training Program,” in which the company will first hire the candidates and then train them to acquire the necessary skills for the job.

The application period starts from today until April 1.

The plan aims to fill 30 job vacancies for “activity tour guides.” Candidates admitted to the plan are expected to receive 18 months of professional training.
Nine months of the total training time will focus on hotel operations, while the other nine months will be in the Activity Planning Department.

The program covers aspects such as arts and culture training, practical conversational English, Forbes Travel Guide basic training in service excellence, and specific guided tour courses. In addition, SJM will also provide employees with opportunities to participate in various guided tours, study visits, and cultural exchange sessions.

Workers who demonstrate exemplary performance after completing the assessments, training, and practical experience in the workplace will have the opportunity to continue developing their professional careers in the Hotel Operations Department or the Activity Planning Department, according to their interests and capabilities.
