G2E Asia postponed again, this time to December

Annual gaming industry event G2E Asia will be again postponed, this time to December 1 to 3 this year, its organizing bodies have announced.
The organizing bodies, the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions, revealed in a statement that the further postponement was made necessary as the figures of the Covid-19 global infection are still on the rise in many territories. As a result, border controls have remained stricter than normal in Macau.
For the time being, Macau only accepts entrants holding passports issued by a greater China jurisdiction. Other tourists are barred from entering the city.
“Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and continued travel and commercial restrictions, it is not possible to hold G2E Asia in July as originally planned,” the organizing body wrote.
The organizing body added that they would continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with all G2E Asia stakeholders, the local government, and health authorities over the coming months.
In normal circumstances, the event is held during the third or the fourth week of May each year. This year will be the 14th time the event has been organized in Macau. Last year, the event hosted nearly 200 exhibitors and attracted about 16,500 spectators. AL
