Twelve-time Grammy Award winner Plácido Domingo returns to Macau for the first time in nine years, alongside a world-class lineup of exceptional musical talent.
The event will take place at the Galaxy International Convention Center on October 20.
The ‘Galaxy Opera Gala’ will see the 83-year-old maestro teaming up with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra. Joining them is the trailblazing Italian conductor Beatrice Venezia, Principal Conductor of the Orchestra Milano Classica and the Orchestra Scarlatti Young in Naples.
Completing the lineup are two rising stars in the opera world: China-born, Italy-based soprano Bingbing Wang, who holds a Master’s Degree from the prestigious Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan; and Italian-German mezzo-soprano Anna-Doris Capitelli, who joined the illustrious Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan in 2017.
The program will feature arias and duets from famous operas such as La Traviata, The Merry Widow, The Marriage of Figaro, Carmen, and more. Guests can look forward to a musical celebration that bridges cultures while emphasizing Macau’s status as a “City of Performing Arts.”
