More than 100 workers from across the Greater Bay Area showcased their vocational skills at the 4th Greater Bay Area Vocational Skills Contest, held in Dongguan City, Guangdong, last weekend. Competitors from Macau, Hong Kong, and seven other cities prepared traditional Chinese noodles and used kitchen robot technology. Wu Hai Lin of Macau, named best competitor, thanked the Macau Workers’ General Union for the opportunity to improve. Li Xiao Jun, also a winning contestant from Dongguan, said flower arrangement participants worked to showcase skills equal to counterparts from larger cities like Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The competition aimed to cultivate highly skilled talent through an exchange of skills between unions in Guangdong, Macau, and Hong Kong.
