Hengqin to build a highland for high-tech innovation
According to the Economic Development Bureau of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, 10,000 technology enterprises have registered in the Zone, including nearly 800 Macau-funded ones. Since the establishment of the Zone, a number of platforms, such as the four state key laboratories in Macau and the Sci-tech Exchange and Cooperation Center for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs), have established their branches in Hengqin to transform their research. Last October, a study institution for brain and intelligence of Guangdong Institute of Intelligence and Technology was set up in Macau, aiming to attract global talent, projects and capital to the Zone.
