HK activists denied entry to Macau

Earlier this week, three Hong Kongers – independent film director Lo Chun Yip; actor and former social activist Lam Fai Fred; and human rights activist Shaw Kwok Wah – were denied entry to Macau.
Lo posted a picture of the notice from the Immigration Department of the Public Security Police Force, which declined his entry on the grounds that he “poses a risk to internal security.”
On Wednesday, Lo intended to visit Macau to attend a short movie workshop hosted by his friend. He was taken to the police station at the Macau Ferry Terminal after failing to pass through the e-channel.
Local police then escorted Lo aboard the ferry back to Hong Kong. He asked the officer if he could ever return to Macau, and was told that he had “better come back on the 13th.” Lo’s refusal came slightly after Lam’s.
Lam and Shaw both posted their own notices on their Facebook pages. Lam had been invited by a local middle school to present a lecture on travelling.
