Hong Kong’s Secretary for Transport and Logistics Lam Sai-hung has said his government is considering allowing vehicles from Macau and Guangdong Province to take the bridge to Hong Kong and park at a designated parking lot, before the passengers take a flight or enter the city. Details are still under consideration, but implementation is expected next year. There may be quotas and prior registration, and applications may be required. The second phase of this plan might allow external vehicles to enter Hong Kong, but Lam said it was too early to discuss the second phase.
