IFTM launches undergraduate programs in Chinese

The Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) will launch two undergraduate programs using Chinese as the language of instruction in the academic year 2024/2025.

The new programs will come into effect after publication in MSAR Gazette, the institute said in a statement.

The two new programs in Chinese offer daytime classes in Bachelor of Science in Tourism Business Management and Bachelor of Science in Cultural and Heritage Management.

“They will follow the same curriculum as the existing English-language versions, overall comply with the same standards, and provide students with the same level of higher education,” the institute said in a statement.

“IFTM is seeking to make these programs available also in the Chinese language in order to cope with increasing demand for qualified professionals in tourism business management and in cultural and heritage management,” it added.

In addition, IFTM is introducing the Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Brand Management in the upcoming academic year, updating the existing Tourism Retail and Marketing Management Bachelor’s Degree Program.

The admissions process for IFTM’s bachelor’s degree programs for the academic year 2024/2025 is open until June 30, 2024. LV
