The Macao International Pop Music Festa, KoolTai Macao Music Fes. 2023, is taking place at The Venetian Macao on Nov. 11 and 12. The event presents a line-up from England, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
The event is not only the first international music festival held by Chessman, but is also the first mega music festival officially launched and produced by a Macau-based local production team.
The day 1 headlining band is Suede. It will be the first time the Brit-pop band has performed live in Macau. The other headlining act is internationally renowned bossa nova musician, Lisa Ono.
Pop features heavily on the second day, led by British pop singer Jessie J and Grammy-winning R&B performer Corinne Bailey Rae. Others on the line-up include singer-songwriter Joanna Wang from Taiwan, and Malaysian singer-songwriter Zee Avi, who is also the winner of a Golden Horse Award for Best Original Film Song.
