Local orchestra to present two concerts this week

The Macao Orchestra is slated to present two concerts this Friday and Saturday at two cultural venues, performing pieces featuring a string ensemble with a refined and meticulous technique. The concert “Music in the Tap Seac Gallery” will be held on December 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Tap Seac Gallery, and the concert “World Heritage Imagery” at the Oriental Foundation for the first time on December 2 at 4 p.m. According to a statement issued by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the concert’s program features Haydn’s Divertimento in D Major and Boccherini’s Six Duets for two Violins in G Major, among others.

Panda Pavilion to expand

The Macao Giant Panda Pavilion will be expanded, according to Leong Kun Fong, member of the Administration Committee of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM). The government will expand outdoor activity spaces for the pandas. The pandas’ houses will also be expanded. The construction is expected to take place in the spring of 2018. Bobo, a black bear currently living at Jardim da Flora, has also been scheduled to be relocated to the Seac Pai Van Park. The government will soon commence the construction of Bobo’s new house.
