Macanese museum waits for IC assessment

There has been a study into the feasibility of establishing a Macanese House Museum, which would highlight three of Macau’s most respected writers, including Camilo Pessanha. Regarding this possibility, Carlos Marreiros reaffirmed that “the feasibility assessment is done and has been delivered,” and that they are waiting for the Cultural Bureau (IC) to make a final decision on the project.
The Macau Holy House of Mercy (SCMM) intends to build the proposed Macanese House Museum inside two typically Macanese houses that they own in the St Lazarus district, close to Tap Seac. SCMM has been trying to develop this museum since 2011. The houses would showcase how old Macanese families lived, displaying furniture, pictures and objects that belong to the community.
