A crew member of a Hong Kong-
Macau cargo ship tested positive for Covid-19 after being a close contact of the confirmed positive crew member reported on August 10.
The imported case is a 64-year-old Macau male resident according to information from the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre.
In order to further assess the risk of Covid-19 transmission in the local community, a Key Area Nucleic acid test (NAT) NAT drive was launched for individuals who live, work, or frequent in the vicinity of the residing place of the positive case.
From August 13 to 15, individuals living or working in the vicinity of Rua da Ribeira do Patane are required to take the test. Those who have stayed at Avenida de Demétrio Cinatti, Travessa da Guelra, Rua da Ribeira do Patane, Travessa dos Calafates, Calçada do Galo, Calçada das Sortes, Rua da Palmeira, Travessa da Escama for more than half an hour on or after August 8 are also required to undergo the test.
If they have not completed two NATs in three days as required, their health code will be changed to yellow code on August 16. LV
