One Account for unemployment allowance applicants

Residents can apply for the Social Security System’s unemployment allowance through the Macao One Account, the government announced yesterday. Applicants can file an application with the Social Security Fund through the system, as well as register for job search with the Labour Affairs Bureau for involuntary unemployment. Under normal circumstances, the vetting and approval outcome will be available within 14 working days, counting from the next day after meeting the eligibility requirements for the unemployment allowance and submitting all required documents.
