A Health Bureau’s ambulance reportedly collided with a 63 year-old man last Friday on Avenida Wai Long, injuring the victim.
The Public Security Police Force (PSP) are now calling for eye witnesses or individuals who can provide information on the accident. These individuals may call 2837 4214 to contact the PSP’s Traffic Department on the matter.
According to information released by the PSP, the man was crossing the road in front of the Macau University of Science and Technology. The police did not disclose whether the man was crossing the road in a legal manner.
There is a crossing facility in front of the University Hospital, but not at the main entrance of the university.
At about 3:58 p.m. last Friday, the ambulance was moving out from the Rotunda do Aeroporto roundabout, heading towards the Rotunda do Istmo roundabout, when it collided with the man.
The man fell to the ground after the accident, sustaining injuries to his head, with visible bleeding on his forehead, his upper lip and the top of his head. He was conscious and breathing with a pulse when delivered to the Conde de São Januário Hospital. AL
