The total value of transactions pertaining to building units and parking spaces in the first quarter of 2022 was MOP7.29 billion, down by 28.3% and 26.4% respectively, quarter-to-quarter. According to the the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC), a total of 1,407 building units and parking spaces were purchased and sold in the first quarter of 2022 as per Stamp Duty records. The number of existing residential units transacted (786 units) dropped by 24.2% and the transaction value (MOP5.29 billion) fell by 23.5%. Moreover, transaction volume (40 units) and value (MOP 285 million) of pre-sale residential units tumbled by 78.3% and 76.2%, respectively, quarter-to-quarter.
Nearly 316,000 complete registration for e-voucher
The period for awarding the third round of the e-voucher scheme will commence on May 23 and end on January 17. Residents who registered for the option of “mobile payment” until May 18 will have the amounts automatically deposited by their financial institutions from May 23. For residents who have registered for the “consumption card” option, they will be able to charge by tapping at the respective charging stations. As of Monday, 315,866 residents had completed their registration, of which 144,639 residents opted for the “mobile payment method” and 171,227 for the “consumer card.”
