Recycling company staff members sell wasted oil to lard factory

Two staff members from a recycling company are reported to have sold untreated waste oil to a lard production factory. Since March last year, the two suspects have sold the company 50 barrels of wasted oil totalling 50 kilos per barrel, which they collected from local restaurants. The recycling company specializes in kitchen waste and wasted oil; its manager discovered the incident and reported the two staff members to the police. The police have written to the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, the Health Bureau and Economic Services are set to follow up the reports.
