Sands China Ltd. “greatly welcomes and fully supports” the master plan of the Development of the Guangdong-Macau Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin promulgated by the central government Sunday, according to a statement the gaming operator issued.
An important initiative for the in-depth implementation of the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the master plan seeks to create a favourable environment for Macau’s industrial diversification, while providing fresh impetus for Macau’s long-term development.
It recalled that the company has held a series of initiatives to enhance team members’ understanding of the nation’s development and in turn “deepen their love for China and Macau.”
“Sands China is fully committed to supporting the master plan, and will continue to contribute to the economic diversification and long-term prosperity of Macau for its integration into the overall national development plan as the city begins a new chapter in its development journey,” the statement read.
