A traffic accident occurred yesterday at Rua do Seminário when a private car lost control during a movie filming session.

The incident took place around 3 p.m. as the car veered off course, crashing into a fence and then rushing down a three-story sloping alley.

A total of 12 people were injured, including four children, all of whom were sent to Kiang Wu Hospital for treatment. The injured individuals were all members of the acting crew.

After the crash, the car was found parked in a narrow pedestrian ramp with extensive dents on its body, and the rear pump handle was loose.

As seen in photos circulating online, the ground was scattered with debris, and broken glass was found on the staircase.

Local media reports indicate that the car, which was part of the filming crew, lost control after turning from Rua do Seminário towards Largo do Aquino. The injured included three men and nine women, ranging in age from 5 to 61.

Two were local residents, while the others held Exit-Entry Permits for Hong Kong and Macau, and one was a Singaporean passport holder. The injuries were mostly contusions and abrasions.

The police confirmed that the filming crew had applied for permission to film and had closed the road for the session.

The 62-year-old driver, who holds both a valid mainland driving license and a dual-entry permit, was uninjured and passed a breathalyzer test. Staff Reporter
