_mg_0207The 2016 Sands Supplier Excellence Awards was held at The Venetian Macao last week, with Sands China Ltd. recognizing the outstanding cooperation and services of its suppliers.

“The success of our company and the success of our suppliers is connected, creating a mutually beneficial relationship,” said Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd.

“We appreciate and value our suppliers, and we hope these business partners – from large companies to medium and small enterprises – have the opportunity to develop a long-term business partnership with us,” he added.

From among thousands of service providers and suppliers working with Sands China, more than 300 companies were nominated for this year’s Sands Supplier Excellence Awards.

The winners included long-established local companies that have contributed to the region’s development over the years.

Besides some large companies, three out of the seven winners are local SMEs (Ka Ming Trading, Wa Toc Engineering Company Limited, and ICON Gaming Technology Limited), a testament to Sands China’s ongoing support of local Macau enterprises.

The awards recognized outstanding suppliers in seven categories: small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), corporate culture and sustainability, cost management, service excellence, project management, total quality management, and innovation.
