A serious traffic accident was reported on Av. do Aeroporto yesterday, leaving a male motorcyclist severely injured and a 12-year-old boy with brain hemorrhage.
The accident was caused due to the teenager’s street-crossing misbehavior. He traversed the road without using the crossing facilities designed for pedestrians, as stated by the Public Security Police Force.
In the accident, the motorcyclist was thrown to the Jersey barrier on the side and bounced back to the lane, suffering severe head injuries, fractures and several bruises on the body.
The boy was found lying on the road with bruises on the left calf and laceration on the right ear. Staff reporter
