SJM postpones food stall notifications
SJM Resorts, S.A. (SJM) recently announced that the notification period for successful applicants of 10 food stalls at Kam Pek Market will be postponed to early October. The decision comes after it received over 60 applications, necessitating a thorough review process. This follows SJM’s May acquisition of the Kam Pek Community Centre for HKD166 million, aimed at transforming it into a vibrant food and beverage destination. The initiative is part of SJM’s broader strategy to revitalize historic districts, enhancing its non-gaming attractions and contributing to local community development. The application period for bids opened Aug. 16 and closed 6 p.m. Sept. 9.
