Ten-year-old hospitalized after inhaling hydrogen sulfide gas

A child was taken to the hospital yesterday after having inhaled hydrogen sulfide gas, TDM reported. The incident, which took place in a residential building in the area around Dom Pedro V Theatre, led to the evacuation of the entire building due to a high concentration of the gas. Ten other people were reportedly removed from the same apartment unit. According to the Fire Services, the incident might be related to the use of cleaning products that release poisonous gas. The 10-year-old was assisted at the Kiang Wu Hospital.

Environmental impact assessment for fourth bridge launched

The Infrastructure Development Office (GDI) yesterday started to collect opinions for the Marine Environment Impact Assessment for the construction of the fourth bridge connecting the Peninsula to Taipa Island. The GDI informed in a statement that the measure aims to fulfill the requirements that have existed since 2006, and to prepare the construction of the infrastructure. The company responsible for assessment is South China Sea Institute of Planning and Environment Research, SOA.
